Job summary

A leader in logistics is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team in Kelowna. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and a strong sense of urgency. Responsibilities include unloading and sorting freight, preloading trucks, and working with cargo containers. This temporary to permanent position offers weekly pay and starts immediately. Candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Unloading and sorting freight.
• Preloading up to 5 trucks while pulling assigned freight off conveyor belt.
• Scanning, cubing, reweighting.
• Building positive relationships with teams.
• Working with conveyor and roller belts, inside trailers.
• Accurately scanning and counting stops on a truck.

Job description

Our client, a leader in the logistics industry, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, and a sense of urgency which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Kelowna, Beaver Lake, BC
Pay rate: $20/hr
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; (on call shift available) - 12:00 AM/4:30 AM - 8:30 AM (until the work is done)

What’s the Job?

• Unloading and sorting freight.
• Preload up to 5 trucks while pulling assigned freight off conveyor belt.
• Scanning, cubing, reweighting.
• Build positive relationships with teams (couriers, lead hands and sorters).
• Working with conveyor and roller belts, inside trailers, cargo containers and package vehicles.
• Accurately scan, count the number of stops on a truck and write all premium products while loading.
