Overview

DHL Express has openings for Full-Time Warehouse Associate at our Halifax, NS location. You will support the business by accurately and efficiently managing shipments and packages in order to serve our customers’ needs to the best of our ability. Join us and help us achieve our mission of having the best day every day.

Available Shift: 11.00am to 7.30pm. Wage: $20.02/ hr (for first 3 months) which will increase as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

General Responsibilities

• Complete tasks assigned by supervisor or manager
• Scan freight as per agreed procedures
• Perform OB Cargo Screening and Inspections
• Move freight within the warehouse area as per requirements
• Accurately process, by deadlines, inbound and outbound material
• Assist Tracing Department with thorough warehouse checks for missorts, on-hands, etc.
• Perform HIC duties and inventory
• Perform accurate reporting
• Perform Front Counter duties
• Participate in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area
• Participate in maintaining a safe and cooperative work environment
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor

• Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to 70 lbs per piece, throughout the shift
• Demonstrated ability to work with customers
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on-time within tight time constraints
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Be ready to deliver parcels as a back-up driver

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) as per Transport Canada guidelines
• Good knowledge of MS Office. Comfortable Excel User
• High School Diploma
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
