JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Vice-President, Sales, Wholesaler to join our Sales team in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy to increase Assante’s market share within the territory, develop a territory coverage strategy and communication plan with existing and prospective advisors, and educate and develop advisor knowledge of Assante’s solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Increase sales and grow Assante’s market share
  • Build consultative relationships with Advisors and staff
  • Work closely with Sales Associates to implement territory plan, prospect, and maintain existing relationships (includes providing guidance and coaching)
  • Fully adopt and effectively use CRM platform to maximize sales results in the territory
  • Represent Assante at regional and national conferences
  • Continuously improve and develop product knowledge, sales skills, and efficiencies
  • Leverage senior management in the sales process
  • Collaborate with the National Accounts and Internal Sales Associates on firm and advisor initiatives
  • Manage time effectively to maximize client engagement and align activities with territory priorities

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 3+ years of sales experience related to internal, hybrid, or external wholesaling
  • Established industry relationships preferred
  • Strong business acumen and proficiency in business disciplines
  • University degree
  • Canadian Securities Course
  • CFP, CIM, or CFA designation is an asset
  • Experience with Salesforce is an asset
  • Deep investment management and market knowledge
  • Ability to make quick, appropriate decisions within regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to build internal partnerships and work effectively in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Extensive travel required
  • Work beyond normal hours may be necessary
