Job summary

Hourly Pay Rate Range: $18.50 - $25.20 (depending upon experience)

Shift: 2nd Shift Position

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and providing recommendations to help make PCC a safe work environment.
  • Achieve team production and efficiency goals by working to meet all operational and quality standards to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform somewhat diversified duties to accomplish a variety of in-process and final inspection operations on production parts following established methods and procedures, and/or specific instructions.
  • Visually inspect parts for surface finish quality, proper form and features, and for the presence of cracks, damage or other disqualifying defects.
  • Perform dimensional inspections as required, using micrometers, indicators, Vernier’s, plug and thread gages and any special hand gaging equipment required.
  • Originate and maintain required inspection reports in specified form. Prepare necessary rework or salvage orders to request correction of discrepant parts.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual conditions to proper supervision.
Experience and Education
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but may be substituted by manufacturing experience.
  • One year of manufacturing preferred; previous experience in the casting industry is a plus.
