Vice President, FP&A and Business Partnering

Job Overview

The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Business Partnering is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the financial strategy and direction of Lifemark. This executive will lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and business partnering for clinics, other lines of business, and the Corporate Support Centre. The role requires deep FP&A expertise, financial modeling, and business partnering within a multi-location, high-growth environment.

The executive will work closely with senior leadership to ensure sound financial decision-making, robust capital management, and support for the short-term and long-term objectives of the business.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Financial Reporting & Insights: Oversee and develop comprehensive financial reporting for senior management and the enterprise. Define and report key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the company\'s strategic objectives. Streamline and automate data collection and reporting processes across key stakeholders. Lead monthly and quarterly management reporting—analyze financial results, distill key trends, and communicate business insights to senior leadership. Develop reporting for corporate departments and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure targets are delivered. Participate in cross-functional initiatives to provide financial analysis direction for operational decisions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and multi-year strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Develop a monthly and quarterly forecasting process with insights and recommendations on trends, opportunities, and risks. Partner with business unit leaders to evaluate key trends, identify profitable growth opportunities, and ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with the senior leadership team and operations to develop and execute financial strategies that drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and operational efficiencies. Lead special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Business Partnering: Align closely with clinics and other lines of business to provide easy-to-understand reporting and analytics to drive decision-making. Collaborate with leaders to develop annual budgets and refine monthly forecasting processes. Partner with leaders to support business cases and RFPs, including Real Estate and Pricing. Lead acquisitions finance and ensure accounting, reporting, and required payments for acquisitions are accounted for correctly.
  • Leadership & Operational Excellence: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A and Business Partnering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. Develop a strong pipeline of finance talent and succession planning. Drive financial process improvements and automation tools for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, etc. Lead change management initiatives and ensure smooth transitions in financial systems, processes, and strategies. Ensure cross-functional collaboration for financial alignment with operational strategies.
Education, Credentials, Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA strongly preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior FP&A and business partnering leadership role.
  • Experience in a multi-location and / or healthcare services organization is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Strong background in financial modeling and the ability to “tell the story” with insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with executive presence.
  • Expertise in Sage Accpac and reporting tools (Power BI, Vena, Power Query, etc.).
