Job summary

A leading footwear company in Surrey, Canada is seeking a VAS Team Lead to oversee value-added services in the distribution center. This role involves ensuring compliance with quality standards, optimizing labor usage, and driving operational efficiency. Candidates should have over 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment and proficiency in warehouse management systems. A commitment to safety and training development is essential. The position offers a salary of CAD 25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of inbound/outbound logistics flow and warehouse processes.
  • Capacity to lift 20-50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling.
  • Proficiency in WMS, RF scanners, and related DC technology platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to assigned team members for task execution.
  • Train new hires and cross-train existing associates on standard operating procedures.
  • Execute and assist in driving the daily operating plan to complete orders within timelines.

Skills

Strong communication skills
Ability to motivate team members
Basic math calculations
Knowledge of health and safety practices

Education

2+ years of experience in a Distribution Centre or warehouse environment
Valid MHE certification or willingness to obtain
OFA Level 2 certification is an asset

Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
