About the Position Full time Laborer – entry level position in a large flour milling plant at Midland, Ontario

Duties and Responsibilities
  • This position also includes general sanitation duties
  • Following established GMPs for our food safety programs
  • Adhering to GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Safety Rules is essential
  • Duties include but are not limited to material handling, light maintenance, and cleaning
  • Must be able to work from heights, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and bend
  • May be required to lift 55 lbs. / 22 kg
  • Also needs to be able to work in a variety of hot, cold, or wet conditions
  • Shift work, overtime and weekends will be required.
  • All other duties required
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills, numeracy and record accuracy are also necessary to succeed at this role
  • There is room for further advancement in this role
  • In order to meet the requirements of this job posting the applicant will be cross-trained in all operational positions to facilitate operational needs
  • To be successful the candidate will be advancing towards an Operator position over time as business requires
  • The expectation being that the successful applicant will be competent when working with machinery, including the ability to safely troubleshoot operational issues
Education or Work Experience
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred
Additional Information
  • Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
  • Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
  • All candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.
  • Relocation support is not available for this position.
