Job summary

A leading long-term care organization in Toronto is looking for a Nursing Unit Clerk to coordinate staffing and scheduling for the Nursing Department. The Opportunity

This Nursing Unit Clerk is responsible for coordinating the daily staffing of the Nursing Department. This role assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.

What Is In It For You
  • Assists in the coordination of staffing and scheduling needs for the Nursing Department including replacement of staff on a daily "call in" basis and updating staffing changes on the Master Schedule and daily compliments.
  • Obtains approval for overtime work from the Director of Care.
  • Maintains attendance/absenteeism reports and communicates any recurrent absenteeism to the Director of Care.
What You Will Need
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Post‑secondary education an asset.
  • Must have exceptional English communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain current CPR.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour. Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
