Overview
Position Overview: Reporting to the Director Health Services and/or Manager Health Services or Delegate, the Unit Clerk performs clerical, receptionist and communication functions on the unit as part of the nursing team. The incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods, and acts in accordance with the mission, vision, values and policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Travel to Hôpital Ste-Anne Hospital may be required.

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience in a related clinical area.
- Education: Grade 12 education or equivalent; Unit Clerk Certificate; other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.

- Proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Email.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize in a changing environment; strong organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain respectful, positive working relationships with facility staff.
- Respect for a culturally diverse population; confidentiality in all formats.
- Good work and attendance record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the job; no significant hazardous conditions.
- May work occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.
