Qualifications

  • Property & Casualty License preferred or willingness to obtain one.
  • Knowledgeable of insurance products, markets, ratings, and procedures.

  • Conduct comprehensive account analysis and documentation review.
  • Utilize advanced underwriting principles to determine risk.

What we need from you:

  • Experience- You have 1+ years of Underwriting experience preferred preference to candidates withcommercialunderwriting experience)
  • Designation- AIS designation required
  • Licensed- You have your Property & Casualty License preferred or are willing to obtain one
  • Knowledge- You are very knowledgeable of insurance products, markets, ratings, and underwriting procedures
  • Software– You are proficient with Microsoft Office, carrier websites, and other software systems as needed for the position

The Position:

  • Ensure clients feel valued and offer superior customer service
  • Conducts comprehensive account analysis, data management, and documentation review to ensure accurate and complete underwriting files for endorsement
  • Utilize advanced underwriting principles and comprehensive loss analysis to determine risk
  • Maintain great working relationships with agents/brokers, business partners, and customers
  • Extremely great with planning and organizational skills
  • Process all renewals, new business applications, and endorsements needed to improve underwriting interest
  • Go over any policy changes and approve as needed
  • Analyze reports, audits, and inspections
