Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Foreman to lead and manage our underground utilities construction projects. In this role, you’ll oversee the installation and maintenance of utility lines, including water, sewer, and storm systems. As the Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating a team of workers, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and making sure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. If you’re a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a passion for managing complex infrastructure projects, we want you on our team!

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to understand project requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities on construction sites, including excavation, grading, compaction, and erosion control, to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate the allocation of labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity, minimize downtime, and achieve project milestones within budgetary constraints.
  • Provide guidance, instruction, and support to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to established procedures.
  • Enforce all safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Monitor work progress and quality standards, conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure that workmanship meets or exceeds project requirements.
  • Utilize construction management software, including B2W and Bluebeam, for project tracking and documentation.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor team members in best practices for construction techniques and safety protocols.
  • Prepare reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions for management.

Qualifications

  • Underground Utility and Earthworks construction experience are required.
  • High attention to detail is required.
  • Pay to be determined by skill and experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, OH & S Legislation, and WCB reporting procedures.
  • Understand and maintain quality and production standards and work to achieve established production goals.
  • Physically able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as required in the construction environment.
  • Must have your own transportation.
  • Must have own steel-toes safety boots.
  • Seasonal, full-time, and weekends.
