Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and MSK studies.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to capture high-quality images.
  • Analyze images for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures within the clinical environment.
  • Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program
  • Current registration with CMRITO required
  • Current BCLS certificate
  • Experience with Velox RIS and PACS preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience in Canada is preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in all aspects of general sonography
  • Ability to perform OB/GYN is a must
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and application of practical and theoretical ultrasound knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and non-verbal communication skills (Excellent communication skills in English. Ability to communicate in additional language(s) preferred)
