Ultrasound Technologist – Sure Care Diagnostics
Sure Care Diagnostics (formerly Waterloo Nuclear & Radiography) is an established diagnostic imaging provider serving communities across Ontario. Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will perform a variety of general and specialized ultrasound examinations while delivering outstanding, patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including general, obstetrical, gynecological, and other specialized studies as required
- Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and make necessary adjustments to obtain optimal results
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, assisting in preparing reports for radiologist interpretation
- Adhere to infection control protocols and radiation safety standards (where applicable)
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, performing routine quality control checks
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to ensure seamless, efficient patient care
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and foster a positive, supportive team environment
Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) or Sonography Canada, depending on specialization
- 1–3 years of experience in a clinical ultrasound setting preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training are welcome to apply)
- Proficiency in a range of ultrasound procedures and strong anatomical knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and patient-focused approach
- Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to producing accurate, high-quality images
- Experience with digital imaging systems and PACS
