OVERVIEW:

The U18 Women’s National Team will be comprised of athletes born January 1, 2008 or later, who have Canadian citizenship. This year, the team selected will compete at the 2026 FIBA Americas U18 Championship, June 8-14, 2026, location TBD. Successful candidates will work to lead the U18WNT to qualify for the 2027 FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be responsible for managing all activities necessary to ensure adequate conditions for the training and the competing of the team to which they are assigned.
  • Ensure that all the necessary equipment is available for training sessions and for all games played by the team.
  • Assume control and inventory of all necessary equipment used by the team staff and athletes and file an inventory report at the conclusion of the program.
  • Ensure that the facilities used meet the required needs, are set-up as required, and are safe to be used by members of the team and its opponents.
  • In cooperation with the Director – Women’s High Performance and/or designate coordinate all activities related to transportation, accommodations and meals during training camps and at competitions.
  • Travel – Local and International – coordinate arrivals and departures as organized by the Director – Women’s High Performance and/or designate. Ensure that athletes and coaching staff have necessary traveling documents (e.g. passports, visas, medical coverage, etc.).
  • Accommodation – ensure the team’s needs are being met on-site.
  • Meals – request advances and responsible for submitting expense reports as per established schedule/dietary needs are being met (vegetarian, quantity, etc.)
  • Coordinate contact with International Federations, FIBA America and FIBA upon authorization from the Director – High Performance.
  • Communicate to the Canada Basketball Office a game results summary immediately or as soon as possible following all game(s), Domestic & International, for the purposes of informational integrity and media relations.
  • Assist the coaching staff in any other capacity to ensure proper conditions for traveling, training and competing of the teams. This includes but is not limited to; laundry, videotaping, recording of statistics, etc.
  • Ensure that proper documentation is obtained for any expenditures in the program areas under their jurisdiction.
QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
