Join to apply for the Travel Nurse - Community Health RN role at Bayshore HealthCare. Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing program has provided high-quality community health care solutions to Canada's North since 1997. Our Healthcare Professionals work with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit and Métis), traveling on assignments to remote northern communities across Canada. Average assignment durations vary from 2 to 6 weeks.

We provide a unique opportunity to experience an expanded clinical scope of practice while enjoying an adventure. If you are seeking an RN experience in remote northern communities, this role may be a fit.

The Work You Will Do
  • Work in a team atmosphere performing an expanded scope of practice in communities, providing primary and emergency care to all residents—from newborns to elders—through a nursing station/Health Center in a clinic setting.
  • Utilize observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to the care plan.
  • Engage in health promotion, assessments, planning and implementing care using Best Practice Guidelines; provide primary and emergency care; travel nursing; experience creating care plans; IPAC and communicable disease control, immunizations.
  • Ensure emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients within the scope of practice on an ongoing basis.

Who You Are / Qualifications
  • You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a nursing license in good standing in the governing body
  • You are a licensed nurse registered in good standing
  • You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the provinces or territories you wish to work
  • You meet the required work experience
  • Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
