Job Description

We are currently searching for a Transportation Technologist in our Edmonton office.

The successful candidate will work with engineers and other technologists to provide construction inspection and design services for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation‑related infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in many areas.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting site investigations, preparing project designs, and preparing tender documents for road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Experience with construction supervision and contract administration.
  • QA/QC of reports, quantity estimates, and construction drawings.
  • Design collaboration and ensuring implementation and compliance of company and client CAD standards and procedures within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Assisting other technologists, designers, and engineers.
Requirements
  • A Civil Engineering Technology diploma from an accredited technical college.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in design and construction of roadway projects.
  • Experience with highway rehabilitation design and construction for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Proficiency in roadway design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D (an asset).
  • Experience with quantity calculations and cost estimating required. Tender document preparation experience is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and ability to think quickly.
  • Committed team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Ability to travel within Canada.
