Hours of Work: Average of 40 hours per week. Primarily weekdays with flexibility to meet department needs, including on-call responsibilities.

Location: Lloydminster, AB (On-site)

Salary: From $22.72 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview

The Training and Development Manager is responsible for cohesive service delivery, effective and efficient department operations, and leading the department to meet program goals and budgets. They will provide leadership and supervision to their team. This position is part of the Training and Development Division with a direct reporting relationship to the Training and Development Coordinator.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the Training and Development team to meet program goals and budgets.
  • Ensure cohesive service delivery and efficient department operations.
  • Collaborate within the Training and Development Division with direct reporting to the Training and Development Coordinator.
  • Support the organization with flexible staffing to meet department needs.
  • Maintain accuracy of documentation, reporting, and records related to training and development activities.
Qualifications
  • Disabilities Studies, Community Support Worker, Health Care Aide Certificates/Diplomas preferred. Equivalent education & experience considered.
  • Valid Standard / Intermediate First Aid & CPR certificate required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle required.
  • Ability to provide Vulnerable Sector check from the RCMP.
  • Experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills
  • Experience working with behaviour management and individuals with disabilities is an asset.
  • Experience with employment development skills, employment marketing, employment placement and coaching; community access activities are assets.
  • Experience with Performance management and Human resource goal setting; service industry experience is an asset.
  • Be flexible, resourceful, creative, and patient; strong interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong administration, report writing, documentation, organization, decision making, and time management skills.
  • Strong advocacy, public relations, and communication skills.
