Position Overview

We are looking for a TIG Welder who has hands-on experience working with boilers and tube welding. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precision TIG welds on 2.5", 2mm wall thickness tubes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, codes, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on thin-wall tubing (2.5", 2mm thickness) to exact standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures.
• Conduct repairs, modifications, and new installations on boiler tubes and related components.
• Follow all company and industry safety standards, including use of proper PPE and procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe, working order.

Qualifications

• Journey person Welder with ABSA B-Pressure certification (or equivalent experience).
• Proven TIG welding experience, particularly on thin-wall tubing.
• Previous boiler welding/boiler tube experience required.
• Ability to pass weld tests as per project requirements.
• Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Must be able to pass Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol testing.
• Valid safety tickets: H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO (or equivalent).
