Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6,100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region. PEACE WAPITI ENTERPRISE CENTER is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a student-focused and collaborative environment. We invite applications for a Full-Time Educational Assistant (30 hours/week). The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certificated teacher.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Educational Assistant Diploma is preferred
  • CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset
  • Experience working with children in a classroom/organized setting is preferred
  • You have the ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care.
  • You have the ability to meet outside of school hours.
  • You have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to support students in high school trades and apprenticeship math curriculum.
  • Willingness to support student intervention programs online through Google Meets.
