Qualifications

Description

The resources will serve as subject matter experts supporting a range of cloud initiatives across the Government of Ontario’s enterprise environments.

Deliverables

• Designing and enabling cloud solutions primarily in Azure, AWS, and GCP, with some support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Engineering and configuring advanced security controls for both existing and new cloud platforms.
• Supporting complex migrations from on‑premises infrastructure to public cloud environments.
• Developing, updating, and maintaining provisioning pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code to enable scalable, automated delivery of cloud services.
• Creating tools and scripts for data collection, reporting, and operational insights across multi‑cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance environment provisioning pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code to support scalable cloud service delivery.
• Integrate and secure cloud services for enterprise applications across Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI.

Work Arrangement

This position is listed as "Onsite"; the resource is expected to work 7.25 hours per calendar day between the standard working hours of 8:00‑5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) every Monday to Friday inclusive at the identified OPS office location.

Expected Skills & Experience

• Advanced design and implementation knowledge for Azure or AWS, including compute, networking, storage, identity & security, monitoring, automation, data services, CI/CD, cost management, and AI services.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Load Balancer, etc.) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) where applicable.
• Strong security expertise: Azure Entra, Entra CIEM, Entra Verified ID, Conditional Access, Intune integration, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Identity, Zero Trust principles, PowerShell/Graph API automation, Azure Blueprints, NIST/CIS compliance.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, CloudFormation, and automation of policy as code with Sentinel, Azure Policy, AWS Config.
• Continuous integration/continuous deployment integration using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
• Secrets management with Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager.
• Knowledge of cloud AI services: Azure AI, AWS AI, Google Vertex AI, LangChain for RAG pipelines, document parsing.
• Project experience: stakeholder engagement, risk assessment, third‑party integration management, leading technical teams, communication, decision‑making under constraints, mentoring.
