Job summary

A leading aerospace manufacturer in Dorval, Canada, is seeking a Technologist Specialist for engineering infrastructures and installations. This role involves acting as a mechanical design integrator for Global business jets, working closely with various teams to ensure compliance with certifications and timely delivery of documentation. The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, alongside strong communication skills in French and English.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Act as a mechanical design integrator on the Global business jets cabin completion projects throughout all engineering development phases, from kick-off to hand-over.
  • Take ownership of infrastructures and mechanical installations for everything required in the cabin.
  • Execute assignments of various complexity requiring interactions with several fields of expertise (Customer Facing Team, Interior Design, Program, Occupant Safety, Flammability, Stress, Methods, Logistic, etc.)
  • Collaborate in design reviews, ensure the proper integration of requirements and the compliance to certification regulations.
  • Work with partners and suppliers during projects detailed design phases.
  • Integrate change requests of various kinds: Coordinate technical meetings, analyze and define proposals, and ensure a successful implementation.
  • Estimate level of efforts, provide status reports, elevate risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Be responsible for the on-time delivery of the technical documentation as per Bombardier's standards.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You have a university degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent, with eight (8) years or more of relevant experience.
  • You have good communication skills, both writing and speaking, in French and English.
  • You are well organized and are project oriented.
  • You have a relevant technical experience in business aircraft interiors. Knowledge of the Global Aircrafts, Infrastructures and Installations Integration is an asset.
  • You have a solid experience working with Enovia/VPM Nav and Catia (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.);
  • You understand product structure and aircraft certification.
  • You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
  • You are a self-motivated person, a team player, able to work under pressure with a minimum of supervision.
  • You demonstrate an excellent track record of meeting your commitments with success.
