Qualifications

  • Experience in the OSB/wood products and/or machinery manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
  • Industrial sales experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Specifying, defining scope and preparing quotations for machine retrofits, upgrade packages and spare parts.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Providing technical support to customers.
  • Developing and maintaining experience appropriate levels of product knowledge on all lines of equipment.
  • Assist service department and customers in project preparation and planning.
  • Manage project schedules ensuring major milestones and customer deliverables are being met.

The Role:

As a Technical Sales Representative for a respected and market-share leading machinery manufacturer, you can help KCD build on the strong relationships it has with customers by promoting aftermarket parts and upgrades for their machinery. You will play an active role in travelling to customer sites in Canada, USA and internationally for the purpose of providing technical support to customers while identifying opportunities to increase the companies share of aftermarket parts and upgrades.

Attention to detail is imperative, and at times, it will be necessary to work with others within the organization to fully develop these quotations and to convey the information to Kadant Carmanah's customers.
