About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and resourceful Technical Product Owner to lead team priorities, product strategy, specify service features and capabilities, and drive timely delivery of new products. You will translate ideas into strategy and features and oversee product development from start to finish. We value authenticity, ownership, and teamwork in a diverse, distributed environment.

Note: This is a contract position covering parental leave for 12 months.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the product owner for several software services and maintain visibility of the roadmap and its execution within the business unit
  • Create and execute on product area vision, driving towards specific business goals through our customer experience
  • Work with senior management to create product plans, solutions, roadmaps, and coordinate with cross-functional teams for delivery
  • Craft comprehensive user stories, establish objectives, strategies, and actions needed to solve our customers' problems
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle from Discovery, Definition, Design, Development, Deployment and post-deployment hand off to operations
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, partners and other teams to shape requirements, features and end product
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams across the organization to deliver value through internal tooling, education, and documentation
  • Coordinate release cycle and manage cross-team dependencies
  • Prioritize customer needs by working directly with customers as well as Product, Engineering and Customer Support teams to continually represent and improve the product
  • Continuously learn about new technologies and processes to improve skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to distill complex technical problems into coherent frameworks to support technical resources
  • Active listener who shares context proactively
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and pairing with data and design to resolve problems
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with use of data and metrics to back up decisions
  • Experience in product lifecycle management
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product management in a technical environment / software development organizations
  • Deep understanding of Telecoms and/or Product Catalog, especially for B2B platforms
  • Background in Computer Science, Business, IT, or related field
  • Technical knowledge of event-driven architecture, microservices, and API-first platform development
  • Self-starter, team player and results-oriented, able to work with minimal mentorship
  • Background in software development and program management is preferred
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving aptitude

The base salary range for this position is $106,800 to $118,700 USD for US residents or $97,300 to $108,100 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ.
