• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid BC security license required.
• First aid certification - OFA 2 is mandatory.
• Strong report writing skills are essential.
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents.
• Conduct regular foot patrols for safety.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems for vulnerabilities.
• Work with law enforcement during emergencies.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalat[e] in environments such as security operation centres, call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and checkvisitoridentification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license
• First aid certification - OFA 2 (required)
