Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all procurement related activities for specific commodities.
  • Represent Procurement with the integrated product development team.
  • Track changes through the management process.
  • Responsible for contractual negotiations with external suppliers.
  • Ensure project tracking and visibility are provided by suppliers.
  • Support the Procurement commodity team in establishing sourcing strategies.
  • Provide coaching/mentoring to the agents of the team.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Be responsible for all procurement related activities for specific commodities of the various product development phases
  • Represent Procurement with the various integrated product development team
  • Track changes through the management process up to the point of implementation
  • Be responsible for contractual negotiations, resulting from product ranges, with external suppliers
  • Ensure that correct project tracking and visibility are provided by suppliers for Procurement and other business unit functions
  • Support, where applicable, the Procurement commodity team in establishing sourcing strategies for the development programs and draft commercial agreements with the suppliers.
  • Provide coaching/mentoring to the agents of the team
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent
  • You have four (4) to seven (7) years of experience in the aerospace industry
  • You possess experience in contract negotiations with suppliers
  • You have experience on development programs (an asset)
  • You possess technical knowledge (an asset)
  • You have strong analytical skills
  • You possess strong communication skills (French and English)
