Job Description Summary

Position: Supervisor , Lighting

Reports To: Operation manager, Maintenance

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the personnel working in Cable Department including prioritizing workflow and ensuring productivity in a safety focused work environment.
  • Maintain inventory supplies for all parts related to cable equipment.
  • Liaise with purchasing manager for the ordering of any parts required to repair equipment.
  • Submit all purchase requests to be approved by Maintenance Manager.
  • Review all cable maintenance employee’s timesheets.
  • Evaluate employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
  • Assist in the training of newly hired personnel in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Work with Inventory Control Manager to address all unresolved and/or potential maintenance issues that would negatively affect inventory.
  • Ensures quality control procedures are being implemented and adhered to.
  • Complete Loss and Damage report with billable parts and labor in RTPro for distribution to the appropriate CSR for billing purposes.
  • Follows up with the cable maintenance team to complete required trainings.
  • Monitor active-equipment inventory levels and react in accordance to the needs of the Lighting & Grip Department.
  • Enforce all work ticket procedures for equipment repairs and scan barcode equipment into repair modules.
  • Coordinate repairs to miscellaneous lighting equipment and associated accessories as required.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service by communicating on occasion with clients and/or CSRs who have specific technical questions related to equipment and or its application.
  • Liaise with other depts. requiring additional technical support.
  • Ensure that all WCB requirements are complied with.
Qualifications:
  • Labour Planning, Technical Leadership, Technical Understanding, Equipment Maintenance, Safety Management, Attention to Detail, Conceptual Skills, Supply Management, Facilities Management Systems
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in LGP department or similar field.
  • Technical understanding of lighting, cable equipment.
  • Professional, clear verbal and written communication.
  • Applicants must have the ability to work under pressure, and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Applicants must have excellent numeric and organizational skills.
  • Applicants must have previous experience with lighting, cable repairs.

Base Pay Range

32.60 - 44.82
