The Supervisor leads the Supportive Housing and Adult Day Programs and is responsible for developing annual goals consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization and aligned with Person Directed Living principles. The Supervisor plans, monitors and reports on personal outcomes of residents at two Supported Housing locations and on program outcomes for Day Program participants and families. The Supervisor is responsible for creating a culture that honours and respects the human rights and dignity for each person we support, and supports their autonomy and independence, even if they experience disability and/or changes to their health. The Supervisor is responsible for all program administration, operations and staffing.

Service: Community Programs Starting Date: April 1, 2026 or sooner Shift and Hours of Work: 1.0 FTE - full time, currently 08:00-16:15 Pay Scale: As per established salary scale Specifications: Assignment and hours of work are subject to change at any time as per operational requirements. Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Post-Secondary education in a relevant field such as volunteer management, disability support, community development, recreation management;
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a support role (elder care, disability support, child care, educational assistant); with three years experience leading program administration and managing staff preferred
  • Proficient using digital tools in a Microsoft office environment (particularly Word and Excel)
  • Experience working within the culture of Person Directed Living preferred
  • Experience with documentation

Abilities and Skills:

  • Ability to communicate verbally in both official languages (French and English) is required;
  • Proven ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work, and to work independently;
  • Strong internal relationship management and teamwork;
  • Experience training, teaching, coaching and mentoring team members;
  • Ability to proactively and energetically engage with younger and older people from a variety of professional, social and cultural backgrounds;
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow PHIA and FIPPA;
  • Ability to demonstrate a satisfactory employment record, including attendance and;
  • Current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and Adult Abuse Registry Check deemed satisfactory by the Employer.

Knowledge:

  • Actionmarguerite’s Vision, Mission and Values and Resident Bill of Right, policies and procedures;
  • Understanding and ability to champion the Person Directed Living philosophy and to assess program outcomes using Personal Outcome Measures
  • Workplace Health and Safety and safe work practices; and
  • W.H.M.I.S. program.

Note: This position is designated bilingual (French/English). All staff are hired for the facility. Employees may hold more than one position in different Actionmarguerite facilities, where the sum total of hours does not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.
