The Opportunity

CGMH is seeking a motivated student to join our Health Data and Analytics team for the summer. The successful candidate will focus on developing Power BI dashboards and reports to support hospital operations, clinical programs, and strategic initiatives.

Please note this position is dependent on funding from the Canada Summer Jobs program and candidates must meet the criteria of the program to be eligible.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (Computer Science, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Business Intelligence, or related field)
  • Familiarity with Power BI and data visualization principles
  • Basic understanding of data modeling and relational databases
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
Duties And Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using hospital data sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective visualizations.
  • Work within Microsoft Fabric to access and model data for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability in all deliverables.
  • Document processes and provide basic training materials for end‑users.
