Job summary

A summer camp organization seeks a Location Manager for the camp season from May to August in Montreal, Quebec. This role involves ensuring smooth operations, maintaining parent satisfaction, and managing staff. Candidates must have at least 3 years in camp leadership, strong communication skills, and be bilingual in English and French. Applicants should be available for the full seasonal contract and possess a valid driver's license. The position requires both off-season planning and on-site management during peak camp weeks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in camp leadership and/or management.
  • Strong computer skills covering Google Drive and related platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital.
  • Availability for the full seasonal contract from May to August.
  • Must be bilingual in English and French.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Attend management training sessions and meetings.
  • Support camp programming and scheduling development.
  • Assist with pre-camp preparations including supplies and communication.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations of the camp run smoothly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and staff.
  • Manage, support, and coach staff throughout the season.
  • Conduct staff evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager for efficient operations.
  • Track financial transactions for the site.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports.
  • Report operational issues to upper management.
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Hold weekly meetings with the camp team.
  • Oversee inventory management in collaboration with the Inventory Specialist.
