A university student organization in Hamilton is seeking a SWHAT Coordinator to manage the Walk Home Attendant Team. Responsibilities include scheduling, promotion, and financial oversight. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership and public speaking skills. The role requires 8–10 hours of work per week and participation in MSU Management Trainings.
As per MSU employment policies - "Only MSU members in good standing shall be eligible for part-time employment with McMaster Student Union." This includes, but is not limited to - "All undergraduate students at McMaster University enrolled in 18 units or more during an academic session..." The Student Walk Home Attendant Team (SWHAT) is a volunteer service within the McMaster Students Union that will walk or bus with users during the evening hours, 7 days a week.
The SWHAT Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the SWHAT. This includes setting hours of operation, ensuring shifts are scheduled, promotion of service, and ensuring finances are in order.
