The Structural Engineer will support structural integrity initiatives within an industrial operating environment. This role will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and coordinating repairs for structural deficiencies while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and corporate specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop technical scopes of work and create work packages for structural deficiencies
  • Coordinate and support repair plans for structural issues
  • Conduct structural inspections, review findings, and prepare reports
  • Provide technical support to Trades, Supervisors, Planners, Engineers, Operations, and Projects teams on structural integrity matters
  • Ensure all structural designs and installations comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and specifications.
  • Maintain compliance with Corporate Structural Integrity Guidance Documents
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of experience
  • Note: Engineering stamping is not required for this role
  • Strong commitment to safety and safety leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Computer-Aided Structural Analysis & Design software (Staad Pro, SAP2000, or similar)
  • Experience with 3D modeling and design software is considered an asset
  • Previous experience in a potash mine, oil & gas, or industrial environment is considered an asset
Work Schedule:
  • 9/80 Schedule
    • One week: Monday – Thursday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
    • Following week: Monday – Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
    • Short week Thursday ends at 3:00 PM
