What You’ll Be Challenged to Do

As a Bridge Designer/Drafter, you’ll be a vital part of our collaborative design team, helping to shape infrastructure projects from the ground up. You will:

  • Support the creation of engineering plans from initial concept through final construction drawings.

  • Develop accurate base drawings using survey data and CADD software, including MicroStation and AutoCAD.

  • Perform quality checks to verify drawing accuracy.

  • Organize and maintain project documentation, plan libraries, and CADD standards.

  • Assist with detail development and geometry calculations.

  • Support preparation of quantity estimates and field inspection activities.

  • Contribute to a high-performing, multidisciplinary team, ensuring engineering excellence every step of the way.

What You Will Bring to the Firm

  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

  • 2–4 years of experience working as a drafter or designer on bridge-related projects.

  • Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD.

  • Familiarity with key client CAD standards.

  • A detail-oriented mindset with strong capabilities in engineering plan and detail development for transportation structures.

  • A self-starting approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

  • A willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, professional setting.

  • Exposure to or experience with 3D/BIM modeling tools.

  • Experience with GIS applications.

  • Knowledge of additional disciplines such as roadway design and utility coordination.
