A healthcare service provider is seeking a Stores I to handle various tasks related to picking, packaging, and shipping hospital supplies in Grande Prairie. The role requires physical capability to manage heavy products and involves tracking inventory levels. Ideal candidates must have completed Grade 12 and be able to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment. This casual position offers competitive pay, with salaries ranging from $22.41 to $25.05 per hour.
In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicate frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs. Must be capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time. Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.
