About the team + role

The Developer Experience team's mission is to create best-in-class tools, systems, and workflows that enable engineers to build, test, and ship software with speed and confidence.

We are hiring a Staff Software Developer with deep experience in developer infrastructure and tooling to help accelerate this mission. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the platforms and practices that power engineering efficiency at Robinhood.

What you'll do

• Drive advancements in Continuous Integration and Delivery.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency across modern build systems (e.g., Bazel, Buck) and a monorepo environment.
• Develop and evolve developer tooling, including support for remote development environments.
• Support engineers in their professional growth with clear feedback
• Ensure high technical standards by instituting processes (design reviews, testing) and culture (engineering excellence).
• Build partnerships and collaborate across organizations to drive execution efficiently.
• Prioritize and implement high-impact initiatives to empower Robinhood's engineering organization.

What you bring

• Phenomenal problem solving skills with ability to dive into and navigate existing systems with a pragmatic approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to develop cross-team partnerships.
• Strong coding skills with proficiency in programming languages such as Go or Python
• You have prior experience in at least one of the following fields: Developer Experience, Developer Infrastructure, CI/CD.
