A leading financial institution in Toronto seeks a Senior Web Server Infrastructure Analyst to provide technical leadership for middleware web technologies including IIS and Apache. Candidates must have over 3 years of experience in Unix administration, knowledge of UNIX shell scripting, and experience with SSL certificates. The Senior Web Server Infrastructure analyst position will provide technical leadership, oversight, standardization and validation of middleware web application architecture relating to IIS and IHS. In addition, responsibilities will include architecting integrated hardware and software solutions meeting performance, usability, scalability, reliability and security needs of the middleware web infrastructure for IIS and IHS. They must possess deep technological experiences and be able to leverage those experiences in building out the vision, strategy and roadmap for middleware web technologies for IIS and IHS.
Coordinates production support activities for the middleware web infrastructure major systems and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of the application(s). Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.
Responsibilities include gathering and fulfilling requirements, providing support and ongoing maintenance for IIS and Apache & IHS web servers.
Partnering across IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.
The emphasis is split between design, testing, implementing and troubleshooting and technical analysis.
Maintain and upgrade software including website technical architecture.
Create tools to ease production process.
Automate routine procedures.
Ensure proper patch levels and security compliance.
Monitor sites for acceptable performance and user accessibility.
Establish backups and monitor site security.
Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
Develop and/or maintain technical documentations associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
3+ years of experience as a Unix Administrator.
3+ years in depth knowledge of UNIX shell scripting.
3+ years in depth and current technical knowledge of IP networking and the security exposures (running security scans) and mitigating designs and processes associated with them.
3+ years of experience with SSL certificates and its relation to webservers.
Knowledge of IIS and Apache web servers/IBM HTTP Servers (WebSphere)
Windows PowerShell scripting, Java, Java scripting, Python, Automation, f5 load balancing, firewall, CDN.
Certifications: Red Hat System Administration, Red Hat OpenShift Admin, Microsoft MCSE: Core, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Kubernetes Admin, Docker Certified Associate, IBM System Admin AIX.
Experience with OpenShift and/or Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience with Confluence.
