Sr. Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer (Environment Management) to support client in insurance industry

Location: Toronto, Mississauga, Kitchener - 3 days a week onsite

Hours: 40/Week

Overview:

We are seeking a Sr. Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering team. This role will focus on environment management across cloud and on-prem platforms, ensuring governance, stability, and resolution of issues across multiple technologies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Manage and support environments across Guidewire (GW), AWS, GCP, and IBM technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and configuration issues.
• Update and maintain components to production-ready levels.
• Support project teams by addressing infrastructure-related issues (no development work).
• Review and navigate IBM ACE and WebSphere consoles to identify and resolve issues.
• Establish governance forums and address project blockers.

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years in infrastructure/cloud engineering
• Strong experience with Guidewire (GW) and AWS.
• Hands-on with environment troubleshooting, configuration, and support.
• Familiarity with Helm, Argo CD, microservices-based platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and governance experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Plusses):

• Familiarity with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM WebSphere (WAS).
• Experience with GCP.
• Knowledge of Jira, Bitbucket, Git, Kubernetes/Docker.
• Exposure to mainframe technologies (COBOL, ZOS).
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GCP).
