Overview

Greer Spray Foam Ltd is looking for three Spray Foam Insulation Applicators to join our team.

36.60 per hour / 40 hours per week

Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years as a spray insulation applicator or similar position.

Experience & specialization

Compressors, Ventilation and exhaust, cladding.

Must have a high understanding of envelope principles including air barriers, moisture testing, internal vapour barriers, and R-Values.

Worksite environment

Noisy, Odours, Dusty, Hot, Cold / refrigerated, Confined spaces, Outdoors.

Work setting

Construction, industrial, residential, and Installation.

Own tools / equipment

Steel-toed safety boots.

Job Duties

• Select the type of insulation required.
• Apply spray insulation to both commercial and residential projects at ceilings and walls.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment inclusive of hoses, compressors, generators, krendl, pumps, etc.
• Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods.
• Determine how a building is to be insulated and understand how different types of insulation are to interact.
• Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joints and studs.
• Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.
• Read and interpret work orders and architectural floor plans as required.
• Operate on high-profile construction sites safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
• Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials.
• Work in a team-based atmosphere with other applicators.
• Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings.
