Spirit of Math Vice Principal - Winnipeg & Virtual Campus role at Spirit of Math Schools Inc.
The Vice Principal is the pro-active leader who maintains administrative and education standards of a campus during their leadership time, reporting to the Campus Principal. This position will support the Campus Principal for all aspects of ongoing business operations at a campus, including Spirit of Math, Spirit of English and Spirit of Technology campus operations (online and in-person).
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the campus
- Conduct regular performance reviews in collaboration with the principal and ensure staff compliance with KPIs and company standards
- Support monitoring of student progress and achievements
- Serve as a substitute teacher when necessary
- Conduct student interviews to determine suitability for the program
- Assist in completing administrative work
- Support oversight of marketing campaigns and campus growth
- Ensure alignment of curriculum and staff methodology with the company\'s educational pedagogy
- Support the recruitment and hiring of qualified staff
- Assist in training and supervising teaching staff to maintain high standards of education
- Provide HR with required documents as needed
- Provide support and HR reviews for personnel working when the Vice Principal is on duty
- Assist teachers when dealing with student / parent concerns
- Maintain SoM business and educational standards
Accountabilities & Authorities
- Report to the Principal of Campus Operations or as required for business needs
- Assist in managing day-to-day campus operations and staffing decisions
- Support curriculum alignment and staff development in line with SoM standards
Education & Experience
- Leadership experience and a background in an education setting
- Proven management experience or a relevant role for 1 or more years, preferably in the educational sector
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and manage time effectively
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office
Qualifications
- A degree from a recognized college or university is required. A Bachelor of Education is an asset, but not essential.

Core Responsibilities by Areas
- Academic Responsibilities : Conduct professional developments for teachers, daily huddles, parent engagement, mentorship, delivering lessons when needed, monitoring student performance, ongoing professional development, Brightspace maintenance, and related tasks.
- Administrative Responsibilities : Submit expense reports, order supplies, maintain student files, register new students, ensure technology proficiency, assist with marketing events, follow up on leads, and manage summer camp materials.
- Reporting & Travel : Travel may be required to different campuses up to 5 times per week.
Work Conditions
- Hours of Work : Noon to 8:00 PM, up to 5 days a week
- Employment Type : Permanent, 1.0 Full Time
- Salary : (as determined by Spirit of Math)
