About the role

Join the Technology and Business Transformation Team, in the Software Engineer - MS D365 Finance & Operations position, where the next generations of software applications are being developed to enable CMHC to achieve its mission. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of innovative software solutions. You will act as a point of contact for all stakeholders in order to ensure business requirements are understood and met, all while supporting continuous improvement through CMHC’s ERP system.

What you’ll do:
  • Be CMHC’s leading expert on the MS D365 Finance & Operations platform, while also guiding and advising other developers in their work by providing mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Subject Matter Expert, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Collaborate with the client community to determine their system needs, document the current and proposed business processes, and advise clients of the proposed solutions and their impacts.
  • Author technical specification documents and diagrams for new and existing solutions.
  • Design and implement MS D365 Finance & Operations solutions according to business requirements, ensuring high-quality code standards and the delivery of efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Configure integrations with other CMHC systems, such as Microsoft D365 CRM and other Azure components such as Function Apps, Logic Apps, APIs.
  • Participate in the testing and defect resolution process and deployment activities.
  • Stay updated on new Dynamics 365 features, best practices, and industry trends to continually improve system capabilities.
What you should have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a software developer and strong experience with MS D365 Finance & Operations platform and X++ development.
  • A strong ability to establish and apply development best practices.
  • A passion for technology and motivation that is driven by technical challenges and innovation.
  • A desire to continuously grow your expertise through learning and professional development.
  • Previous experience leading and mentoring junior developers and performing code reviews.
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment, with the ability to solve complex problems and engage in challenging projects.
  • Proven interpersonal, leadership and business competencies, including teamwork, facilitation, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
Technologies:
  • Working knowledge of Dynamics interoperability, integration and capability with other Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Leading experience in developing code using Visual Studio, .Net Development (C#) and X++.
  • Good knowledge of agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git, SQL and Relational Database management systems.
  • Experience with cloud Azure platform, Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
  • Overall experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
It would be great if you also had:
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Certification.
