About the Role

As a Specialist, Communications, you will play an essential role within our Corporate Services & Stakeholder Relations business unit, reporting to the Manager, Communications.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development of communication plans and strategies;
  • Creating engaging, audience-centric visual and written content for internal and external communications;
  • Managing and monitoring social media platforms, engaging with audiences, and using performance metrics to optimize content and customer engagement;
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve cohesive messaging and support organizational goals;
  • Verifying all content aligns with Company brand standards and upholds all legal and legislative standards;
  • Keeping up to date with developments in communication trends, analytics, platforms, and established best practices;
  • Leading the planning and execution of Communications-led corporate events.
Qualifications
  • University Degree in Public Relations, Communications or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution;
  • Minimum of three (3) years related communications experience;
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
Required Skills
  • CPRS and/or IABC Designation;
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, including SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Intermediate proficiency using graphic design platforms (e.g., Canva);
  • Intermediate proficiency in website content management;
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and social media strategies;
  • Precision in managing content, maintaining accuracy and consistency;
  • Familiarity with the natural gas industry and an understanding of current issues would be an asset.
