Summary

Are you a curious person who likes to dig into data and find something out of nothing? Do you like to influence and drive change? We are looking for a Compensation Specialist who enjoys working with data and likes to come up with new solutions to take the business to the next level. This person will be crucial in implementing change within the compensation team with precision!

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop current, existing and future compensation plans
  • Ability to work with big data in various systems and technologies
  • Expert in MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Ability to pull own queries using Teradata, SQL, SAS, Oracle and others
  • Ability to design compensation plans using various scenarios and strategies while driving our goals but doing it responsibly
  • Ability to dig beneath the surface and find those outliers, issues, items, etc.
  • Create presentations with substance and present to the senior executive team
  • Familiar with Consumer Electronics portfolio as well as service related products
  • Works well and drives our financial packages when dealing with the Finance team
  • Builds concepts at the design phase and works all the way to execution, reporting, communication and payment
  • Will be responsible for working on Internal Channels (ex. Corporate, Best Buy Express)
  • Nice to have some in-store experience
Critical Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of compensation, finance, mathematics, statistics, social science or relevant work experience designing and managing compensation plans
  • Self starter capable of driving projects to completion
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Project management skills and ability to collaborate across many areas of the business (eg. Sales, Finance, Operations, Business Intelligence, etc)

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Total earning range: $80,000 - $105,000. The advertised salary range may vary slightly as it is based on the company’s current salary structure, which may be revised by the company, from time to time, at its sole discretion. The agreed upon salary may also vary from the advertised salary ranges depending on several factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, experience and internal equity.

The salary range above includes an Annual Incentive Plan objective which represent 12% of your Base Salary based on the achievement of individual and corporate objectives; The Annual Achievement Incentive Plan (AIP) payment is calculated based on a formula that takes into account several factors, including, without limitation, corporate and individual performance measures. The AIP payment is conditional upon meeting all of the AIP’s eligibility requirements. The AIP is subject to modification by the Company from time to time, at its sole discretion to better reflect evolving business structure, goals and strategies.

For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Bell office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Recognizing the importance of work‑life balance, Bell offers flexibility in work hours based on the business needs.
