Responsibilities
  • As a Specialist in digital Channel Analytics, you'll support the development, growth, optimization, and reporting of Empire's digital customer channels, including B2C and B2B websites, mobile apps, and direct-to-customer communications in the newly formed Digital Channel Analytics team. You will use Google Analytics, SAS, SQL, and Salesforce MCI to derive insights that will influence business decisions, drive value for our customers, and aid Empire in its ambition to become the best retailer in Canada.
  • Generate reports for Empire's digital customer channels such as B2C and B2B websites, mobile apps, and direct-to-customer communications.
  • Streamline and organize the digital channel data, ensuring accuracy and reliability, accountability for data sources and measurement methodologies.
  • Analyze digital channel performance, user behaviour, and conversion - interpreting data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Work with a diverse team of specialists with an inclusive attitude and open communication.
  • Use Salesforce's Marketing Cloud Intelligence (MCI) & Customer Data Platform (CDP) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to create and maintain Salesforce MCI or LookerStudio dashboards.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other lines of business and the CMO Organization; gather campaign and channel reporting requirements, align on KPIs, identify tagging requirements, and develop reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with the CTAO; engaging with Product, Advanced Analytics, Developer, and Data teams for data synchronization and ensuring new functionalities/ features are rolled out to support reporting needs.
  • Engage in active listening to gather requirements and develop digital channel analytics capabilities and supporting toolsets.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, self-awareness, innovative thinking, and collaborative problem solving.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in B2C marketing, data or analytics with a primary focus on digital
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Proficiency with SAS and SQL
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy
  • A post-secondary degree in data science, marketing analytics, commerce, or related field
  • Self-starter that identifies opportunities where data & analytics help to solve real business problems
  • Experience with Looker Studio or MCI (An asset)
  • Experience with Google BigQuery or Synapse (An asset)
  • Experience with Salesforce CDP (An asset)
  • Experience in omnichannel retail (An asset)
  • Knowledge of other platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, DV360
