Overview

Twilio is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer on the Digital Sales Communications team. The role is remote-first and based in the United Kingdom. You will enable customers to build the future of communications and lead the technical pre-sales relationship to ensure the best product fit and a successful technical win for Twilio’s Communications products.

Twilio’s Senior Solutions Engineers are responsible for delivering the technical win, guiding discovery, proposing architectures, demonstrating products, and building trust with customers among both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFPs, design documentation, technical presentations and enablement sessions.
  • Help customers achieve success by leading the technical and product sale, recommending best-practice solutions, and guiding them on how to use Twilio’s APIs.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by understanding customer technical pains through discovery and designing, demonstrating, and presenting innovative solutions that solve business challenges.
  • Build and present highly interactive, complex and engaging product demonstrations to showcase Twilio’s Communications Products, while forming strong relationships with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Be hands-on, high-energy, passionate, and a creative problem solver with the ability to lead others to success.
  • Identify and solve problems for the customer and within the organization as we grow.
  • Contribute to the broader Twilio Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing and creating reusable materials.

Required:

  • 3+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 3+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing experience in delivery or consulting.
  • Excellent communicator and presenter who can gain audience confidence.
  • Engaging storyteller capable of communicating complex topics to multiple levels of audience.
  • Ability to understand a customer’s communications needs and guide them to a technical solution.
  • Previous software development experience or working knowledge in one or more areas: REST APIs; cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure); telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with sales methodologies.
Location

This role is remote and based in the United Kingdom.

Travel

Approximately 10% travel to connect in-person with customers and colleagues.
