Job Title: Software Development Engineer II (Dartmouth, NS)

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and tests new software applications, SDKs, and APIs
• Upgrade/Maintain existing software applications
• Responsible for software development projects following a formal process, including software design, code reviews, use of software standards, and testing
• Provide general application support, analysis, and design related to applications running expansive business systems/functions globally
• Prepare and review documents, including requirements analysis, design, unit testing plans, release notes and user guides
• Collaborate effectively with other groups and business partners
• Investigate, recommend and implement new technologies

Qualifications

• Rich knowledge on defining project scope, deliverables and team requirements
• Ability to lead small project teams and deliver results against milestones and deliverables
• Proficient with various technology, which may include: Java, J2EE, EJB, JavaScript, AJAX, REST, SQL, DHTML, Linux, ASP, .NET, SOAP, C, C++, C#, and Shell Scripts
• Able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment and effectively multi-task priorities in a team-oriented environment
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements and schedules
• Enterprise web application development experience is preferred
• Experience with Agile projects (Scrum) is a plus
• EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development

Salary

Salary/Rate Range: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00
