Overview

Permanent Full Time. We are looking for a Software Developer for the Enterprise Application Integration team within Data, Automation, AI, and Platforms.

What you will do
  • Write and maintain API code to meet business and technical requirements
  • Configure and integrate software components and third-party software products, tools, and solutions
  • Facilitate and actively participate in meetings, walkthroughs, and reviews of software development deliverables
  • Deliver fixes and improvements to existing software products, maintain environments, and versions, adhering to standards and compile versions
  • Ensure technical responsibility over assigned software products and codebases
Problem Solving and Analysis
  • Analyze current software products
  • Contribute to the design documentation and technical specifications for development
  • Apply software engineering patterns to identify and troubleshoot problems, requiring analysis and exploration of options, recommending solutions or preparing discussion for escalation
  • Conduct system support and change management activities
  • Conduct impact analysis to support proactive identification of actions to minimize production system interruptions
  • Ability to understand data designs, standards, and specifications
Quality Testing
  • Deliver clean and efficient code, ensuring quality and accuracy of products
  • Test and deploy software products and fixes defects
  • Work with QA team to automate and maintain software product test suites, maintaining test documentation, review as required
  • Create and maintain test documentation, test strategy, review as required
Continual improvement
  • Gain exposure to and learns new languages, frameworks, and tools
  • Evaluate and learn new technologies that provide business value
  • Improve current practices and tools
  • Adapt to organizational change, best practice and improvements across teams, including the effective implementation and adherence to software development processes and practices
  • Support compliance and governance activities to ensure secure and reliable APIs
Customer focus
  • Take accountability for own and towards team deliverables
  • Train and collaborates with other developers in how to write effective code and solve problems
  • Partner with product teams and/or architects to develop technical requirements and engineering/non-functional specifications
  • Resolve client issues as they arise
What you will bring
  • Software development experience
  • University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Interest in or active pursuit of related industry certifications are considered an asset
  • Experience as a developer in a team environment
  • Proficient experience with:
    • Database systems and data access methods
    • Source code management and build automation systems
    • Test-driven development and test frameworks
    • Working with production/application support during a critical incident
Specific tools/skillset including API, microservices, and event-based software development
  • Mandatory
    • Java and SQL programming languages
    • REST- and SOAP-based services
    • Spring Boot or Apache Camel frameworks
  • Nice-to-have
    • AI Coding Assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
    • Apigee or equivalent API Gateway platform
    • Confluent Kafka or Apache ActiveMQ eventing platforms
    • JHipster Domain Language or Liquibase database utilities
    • Docker, Istio, Rancher, or Kubernetes container hosting platforms
    • AWS Cloud

The base salary for this position is between $79,700.00 - $97,700.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
