Job description
Overview

With over 1,600 employees in over 165 accounts, we’re proud to be known as the preferred food service partner for Canadian clients who value exceptional food quality and hospitality services.

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative, outgoing, and food-loving individual to join our on-campus dining team at UNBC as a Student Engagement & Social Media Coordinator. In this hands-on, on-site role, you’ll manage and grow the social media presence for the Agora Dining Hall and the Good Earth Café at UNBC. You’ll be capturing authentic moments, creating content that makes students crave what’s on the menu, and building real connections in the dining hall. If you’re passionate about storytelling through food, love being social (online and in person), and have a knack for capturing great photos and videos, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.) for UNBC dining accounts.

  • Create daily content — posts, stories, reels, carousels, highlights, and more.

  • Capture and edit short- and long-form videos showcasing dining hall experiences, food features, and special events.

  • Design and publish graphics, flyers, and menus (both digital and printed) using Canva.

  • Engage directly with students on campus — run fun, interactive events, collect feedback, and highlight authentic moments.

  • Collaborate with culinary teams to create visually stunning food content.

  • Track insights and analytics to understand what’s working and adjust content strategies accordingly.

  • Maintain a consistent, professional tone that reflects Dana Hospitality’s brand and values.

Qualifications
  • Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong experience in social media management and content creation — you know how to tell a story through visuals.

  • Skilled in Canva for digital and print design (non-negotiable).

  • Confident in photo and video capture/editing — quality is your priority.

  • Comfortable in front of the camera (bonus points!).

  • Personable, outgoing, and able to build rapport with students and staff alike.

  • Organized and self-motivated — you can manage your time and work independently.

  • Passionate about food and hospitality — previous experience in food service or hospitality is a strong asset.

  • Familiar with social media insights and analytics and how to pivot content based on data.
