Overview

Our client, a leading technical apparel brand, is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join their Brand Marketing team. This contract role supports the execution of an organic social media strategy across North America, managing day-to-day publishing, engagement, and content creation across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will assist in amplifying brand storytelling related to events, campaigns, and community initiatives, while supporting guest service integration, platform administration, and reporting on performance metrics. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to develop social media expertise within a collaborative and experienced team. The Social Media Coordinator will collaborate closely with social, creative, guest service, and broader brand teams to bring compelling digital content and campaigns to life in alignment with global brand strategy. This role is a contract opportunity with an initial duration of 14 months, based in North Vancouver and open to a hybrid work arrangement. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Content Scheduling & Publishing: Assist with the planning and execution of the social content calendar, ensuring timely publishing across platforms in alignment with global and regional strategies.
  • Guest Engagement & Service Support: Monitor and respond to guest comments, questions, and messages across social channels, working closely with the Guest Service team to triage and support inquiries.
  • Community Seeding & Event Coverage: Help identify and engage creators, athletes, and community members, while supporting real-time storytelling at events through live social coverage and Instagram Stories.
  • Content Creation & Asset Management: Contribute to the development of social-first assets, including short-form videos and mobile content capture, while managing uploads, tagging, and asset tracking across platforms.
  • Channel Administration: Maintain the day-to-day health of our client's social media channels through post scheduling, link tracking, copy updates, and organization of shared content.
  • Reporting & Insights: Support with compiling monthly reports, analyzing channel performance, and surfacing key insights to inform ongoing content and engagement strategies.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in marketing, communications, media studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • A passion and interest in storytelling, social media, and digital culture
  • A strong understanding of platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, and what makes content perform on each.
  • Excellent written communication skills and an eye for visual storytelling
  • Demonstrated organization skills, a high attention to detail and comfortable juggling multiple deadlines
