Job Title: Social Media & Content Specialist

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)

SOTI is looking for a Social Media & Content Creator, Specialist to help evolve how our brand shows up across social and digital channels, with a strong emphasis on visual storytelling, video and YouTube.

As a core member of the Corporate Marketing team, you’ll own the day-to-day execution of SOTI’s social media presence. This role is ideal for a hands-on creator who can bring ideas to life through engaging visuals and short or long-form content, while also thinking strategically about planning, performance and optimization. You’ll manage the social content calendar, collaborate closely with video, content and public relations teams, as well as use data to continuously refine what is published.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized and platform-savvy. You understand what performs on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, can write strong social copy (without over-writing) and are comfortable using design tools to create polished, on-brand content. You bring structure to creativity, take ownership of timelines and workflows and are excited to test new ideas that help SOTI stand out.

What You’ll Do
Social Media Content Creation & Execution
  • Write clear, concise and engaging social copy tailored to each platform (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Use tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (as needed) to design and assemble visual assets quickly and efficiently.
  • Create engaging, platform-ready social content and help review static graphics, short-form videos, carousels, quote cards and thumbnails.
  • Ensure all social content aligns with SOTI’s brand guidelines, tone and messaging.
  • Understanding of SEO and how it applies to social content.
Social Media Strategy & Planning
  • Own and manage the social media content calendar, aligning content to campaigns, launches, events, PR coverage, tradeshows and events, and video releases.
  • Proactively generate new content ideas, formats, and series that support awareness and engagement goals.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates and best practices, with a strong understanding of B2B audiences.
Video & YouTube Collaboration
  • Support SOTI’s growing focus on YouTube by collaborating with the video team on content planning, promotion and optimization.
  • Assist with video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, clips, and social promotion to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Understand how video performance varies by platform and adapt content accordingly.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Use project management tool (ClickUp) to manage social content workflows, timelines, approvals and requests.
  • Collaborate closely with PR, video, digital marketing and content teams to support integrated campaigns.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure social content aligns with broader marketing and communications priorities.
Measurement, Reporting & Optimization
  • Track, report on and interpret social media performance and analytics across LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Strong understanding of engagement metrics, attribution, funnel performance and audience behavior.
  • Share insights and recommendations to continuously improve content performance and impact.
  • Ability to build dashboards and visualize data for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting A/B tests to optimize content, formats and posting strategies.
  • Skilled in transforming raw data into insights, trends and actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Experience creating visual-first social content for brand or business accounts (B2B preferred).
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and analytics, including LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Hands-on experience with Canva; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience using ClickUp or similar tools (Asana, Monday, etc.).
  • Comfortable analyzing performance data and translating insights into actionable improvements.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, proactive and adaptable, with a balance of strategic thinking and execution.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for learning, experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and follows through — you get stuff done.
  • Strong collaborator who enjoys working with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Team player comfortable working in a hybrid model (Mississauga HQ and remote).
