Position Overview

This is a high‑energy, hands‑on role for someone who lives and breathes social media, content, and the fitness/wellness industry. You’ll lead the global social media presence for Merrithew and STOTT PILATES®, plus related sub‑brands, each with its own unique voice.

As the front door to our global community, you’ll shape how people first encounter and engage with our brands online. Part strategist, part creator, part community‑builder, you’ll bring our story to life across multiple platforms. One day you’re at an industry event capturing live content, the next you’re briefing creators for a major campaign, or experimenting with new formats to connect with new audiences.

Major Responsibilities
  • Lead Global Social Strategy: Own and execute the multi‑brand social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook), aligning with business goals and tailoring approaches for each audience.
  • Community Presence: As the front door to our community, represent the brands at events, studios, and activations. Some travel may be necessary. Capture and publish real‑time content, foster relationships, and welcome new audiences into the Merrithew and STOTT PILATES® world.
  • Content Creation & Collaboration: Produce engaging social‑first content (video, photo, copy), while also briefing and managing external creators, influencers, and ambassadors to scale campaigns and launches.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with events, education, and sales teams to amplify campaigns and ensure a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints.
  • Analytics & Insights: Monitor performance, report on KPIs, and turn data into actionable recommendations for growth, engagement, and conversion.
  • Trendspotting & Innovation: Stay ahead of social, fitness, and wellness trends. Experiment with new formats, features, and AI tools to keep Merrithew at the forefront.
  • Influencer & Ambassador Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with ambassadors, instructors, and creators who reflect our brand values.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years growing and managing brand social media accounts across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Demonstrated track record of building engaged communities and delivering measurable results.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Additional certifications in social media strategy or digital marketing are an asset.
  • Hands‑on content production and editing skills (video, photo, copy), plus experience collaborating with in‑house creative teams.
  • Proven ability to brief, direct, and manage freelance creators and influencers.
  • Deep understanding of Pilates, fitness, or wellness culture is a plus.
  • Highly organized with the ability to balance content production, and cross‑team collaboration.
  • Proficiency with social management and analytics tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, native platform tools, etc.).
  • Analytical, data‑driven mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
Personal Attributes
  • Passionate brand storyteller who thrives at the intersection of Pilates, fitness, and mindful movement.
  • Always tuned in to what’s trending — online, in‑studio, and across the global wellness community.
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptive, and energized by a fast‑paced, hands‑on role.
  • Excellent communicator who builds trust and collaboration with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Results‑focused and self‑motivated, with a drive to continually grow and improve.
