Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical support, software troubleshooting, and computer management. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our IT infrastructure and providing exceptional customer service to our users. The IT Support specialist will be responsible for resolving technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware and software systems, and supporting various operating systems including Windows and macOS.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to end-users via help desk, phone, or in-person interactions.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and perform software installations and updates.
  • Manage computer hardware, including setup, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Assist with network administration tasks including VPN configurations, firewall management, and DNS settings.
  • Utilize tools such as SCCM for software deployment and Active Directory for user account management.
  • Maintain documentation of support requests using BMC Remedy or ServiceNow.
  • Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Support mobile devices and ensure compatibility with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with team members on projects related to IT infrastructure enhancements.
Experience
  • Proven experience in IT support roles with a focus on desktop support and customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP / IP, LAN configurations, and network administration tools such as Meraki.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira is advantageous.
